Supervising in a unionized environment presents unique challenges and responsibilities—but with the right tools, it also offers powerful opportunities for leadership. This essential training equips managers with the knowledge, strategies, and resources needed to supervise effectively represented employees while upholding legal, ethical, and contractual obligations.
Participants will explore the governing authorities, employee rights, and union relationships that shape supervision within the CSU. Also, gain clarity on the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), the roles and responsibilities of all parties involved, and the importance of consultation with Human Resources, Labor, and Employee Relations.
By the end of the course, managers will be prepared to lead with confidence and ensure fair, consistent, and compliant supervision practices that support a respectful and inclusive workplace.
