The Gender &Sexuality Equity Coalition (GSEC) is hosting "The Vagina Monologues" on 13th and 14th of February. The Vagina Monologues was originally written by V (formerly Eve Ensler), as an activist piece that debuted in 1994. It initially appeared Off-Broadway for five years in New York City, before touring the rest of the United States. V, the creator, originally produced "The Vagina Monologues" in 1994 and based the performance on multiple interviews with women. In 1998, it became a frequent benefit for the V-Day movement. Currently, we are looking for performers for the play. The auditions are open to all students, faculty, staff & community members and they are being held on 19th October in the Performing Arts Center (PAC10). We are looking for a diverse group of women/women identifying people, belonging to different ages, races, sexualities, ethnicities etc.
