CSU AI Survey & Gift Card Giveaway

The Division of IT invites all faculty and staff to participate in an anonymous survey about generative AI sponsored by the Chancellor's Office. As faculty and staff, your perspectives are critical in guiding how CSU integrates AI into teaching, research, and operations. The CSU AI Survey is your opportunity to ensure that campus and systemwide policies reflect the realities, challenges, and opportunities you see every day. As a thank you for participating, staff and faculty members who wish to be entered into a drawing will have the chance to win an iPad and Visa gift cards.

Why Your Input Matters

• Inform Policy & Use of Resources – Survey data directly shapes CSU-wide AI guidelines and strategies, ensuring faculty and staff needs are central to decision-making.
• Support Research & Innovation – This survey is the foundation of the most extensive study of AI in higher education to date, representing more than 25,000 voices across the CSU and projected to grow to over 500,000 participants this fall.
  Guide Professional Development – Faculty and staff input has led to the creation of targeted training resources, including the AAAI Micro-Credential and other tools designed for academic and administrative contexts.
• Ensure Academic Integrity – By contributing your insights, you help create policies that both protect against misuse and foster critical thinking in the classroom.
• Grant Success – Data collected from prior surveys was instrumental in securing a $1.5M AI Grand Challenge award for the CSU, expanding opportunities for faculty research and student engagement.

The survey is open to all CSU faculty and staff from September 22 to October 6. Your participation strengthens the CSU's ability to secure funding, develop resources, and shape policies that will guide AI use for years to come.
