Join us for an important presentation with the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA) to learn about your rights at home, at work, at school, and in public spaces—regardless of your immigration status.
This session will cover:
Your Constitutional Rights: Understanding the 4th, 5th, and 6th Amendments and how they protect you.
What To Do in Encounters with ICE or Law Enforcement: How to respond, what documents to carry (and not carry), and how to assert your rights safely.
Rights in Deportation Proceedings: The importance of remaining silent, asking for an attorney, and protecting yourself during and after an arrest.
Family Preparedness: Steps to create an emergency plan for your loved ones.
Travel Guidelines: Domestic vs. international travel and how new Real ID requirements affect undocumented individuals.
Resources & Support: How to access legal aid, community partners, and CHIRLA's ongoing services.
The presentation empowers students, families, and community members with practical tools to stay informed, safe, and prepared. All are welcome to attend.
