SOSC 541 - Healthy in the Later Years - online/asynchronous in Spring 2026!
In Spring 2026 the Social Science Program is offering SOSC 541 – Health in the Later Years as a fully online, asynchronous course.
Focusing on the health problems and prospects for America's elders, this course explores health needs in later life such as body system changes, bio-psycho-social influences, sexuality, using the health delivery system, and more.
Highly recommended for students interested in pursuing career fields where they will be working with older populations.
- Fully Online and Asynchronous, perfect for students enrolled in online degree programs or those needing the flexibility of an asynchronous course.
- No prerequisites
- Can count toward several minors (Family Relations, Gerontology, and Public Health)
- Part of the Gerontology Certificate option
