Spring 2026 Community Legal Information Clinic (CLIC) Applications are Open!

Announced on: Monday, Nov. 03, 2025

Apply now to join one of Chico State's most impactful and prestigious experiential learning programs!

The Community Legal Information Clinic (CLIC) is a student-run, attorney-supervised legal clinic at Chico State that provides free legal information and referrals to community members across California and the United States. Our mission is to expand access to justice while giving students hands-on experience with real legal issues.

We offer opportunities in 11 departments spanning both civil and criminal law. As a CLIC intern, you'll conduct legal research, draft correspondence, interact with clients, and gain professional experience in a collaborative environment that empowers you to make a difference. This opportunity is open to all majors and grade levels. By interning with CLIC, students build connections with peers and legal professionals while earning 3 upper-division units, which may fulfill an internship requirement (contact your advisor to confirm).

What makes CLIC truly unique is that no other university in the nation offers undergraduates an experience like this, where students directly assist real clients and engage in the practice of law under attorney supervision. This rare opportunity provides a competitive edge for law school, graduate programs, and professional careers, making CLIC an outstanding addition to any résumé.

Applications are open until February 11, 2026, however, departments fill up quickly, so we encourage you to apply sooner rather than later! If you have any questions, please email us at clic@csuchico.edu or call (530) 898-4354.
