Geography Major, and Chico City Councilmember, Addison Winslow presents the background of Chico's housing issues, touching on national and state policy as well as the local history of development, racial segregation, and the past three decades of innovation seeking to balance growth, affordability, and community design.
The presentation will close with a summary and discussion of the housing reform program approved by the Chico City Council this summer and currently underway. This talk will be of interest to students interested in urban planning, housing policy, real estate, and local history, and any community members looking to understand and be involved in issues involving housing, growth, and development.
