Restorative Practices and Class Meetings for Conflict Resolution

Molly Knobbe, 2nd grade teacher at Durham Elementary School

Thursday, Dec 4th at 5:30 p.m. PST

Chico State Student Services Center (SSC) Room #150

In this discussion, we will learn about how to implement class meetings and restorative practices. Restorative practices offer opportunities to facilitate healthy discussion and communication skills between students, supporting them to become more independent in using their conflict resolution skills. These practices are a great tool for anyone who interacts with children or faces conflicts in work or community settings. Restorative practices can transform classroom communities, ensuring students have the time and tools to express themselves.

Discussion Leader Bio: Molly Knobbe teaches 2nd grade at Durham Elementary School.
