Have you ever
- had trouble living up to your family's expectations?
- found yourself explaining your culture to others…and wishing you didn't have to?
- felt like you had to choose between your values and your family's?
- been confused about what your values even are?
Some days, blending our identities is a cinch, but other days, it may leave you feeling exhausted and unsure of where you really belong.
Join us for an informal conversation today (11/13) from 11-12:30 pm in CCLC (MLIB 172) with your El Centro (Dr. Gloria Lopez), APIDA (Dr. Juni), and BRC (Dr. Shawn Bates) faculty-in-residence about living between cultures. Sure, we'll talk about the challenges, but we'll also remind ourselves how being bicultural is GOOD for our mental health!
All students are welcome!
