There will be more to come in January and February. Why Participate?
This research is designed to understand the unique needs, interests, and identities of queer and trans students at Chico State, thereby further strengthening our campus commitment to creating a welcoming and affirming environment.
Your input may help with:
Support for more courses in gender studies, women's studies, and/or queer and trans studies.
Programs and activities that matter to you, such as expanded GSEC hours, a queer book club, or even a campus Pride festival.
Providing education about queer and trans lives for staff, faculty, and fellow students
Focus groups will last about an hour. Participation is voluntary, and there is minimal risk. To be eligible, you must be a Chico State student and at least 18 years old.
Thank you for your time and your voice in this important effort. If you have any questions, feel free to contact research director molly heck, mheck@csuchico.edu, (refer to IRB # 2024-141) or stop by the GSEC office located in BSS 102.
