Join us for a conversation with Archie & Garbo Hearne, followed by an opening reception for the exhibition,The Hearne Collection: Source of Light, now on view at the Jacki Headley University Art Gallery. A Chico State alum, Archie (Biology '73) and his wife Garbo have supported generations of artists through their gallery, Hearne Fine Art, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Founded in 1988, Hearne Fine Art is now a vital conduit for the preservation and promotion of Black art by local, regional, national, and international artists of African descent. The talk will be held on Thursday, February 12 from 5:30-6:30pm (PAC 134), followed by a reception in the gallery from 6:30-7:30pm. The Hearne Collection: Source of Light (January 20-March 14, 2026) Jacki Headley University Art Gallery (Arts & Humanities Building, Rm 121) Exhibition Hours: Tuesday-Saturday, 12-4pm.
