Join Turner intern and Arts and Humanities major Brianna for a museum tour of Pressing Poetry: From Broadsides to Book Arts on Thursday, February 19th! The tour will be focused on the letterpress printing technique and the variety of forms bookmaking can take on, including unconventional styles such as portfolio and accordion. Following the exhibition tour, guests will be invited to participate in a hands-on activity in the lobby for the opportunity to experience the art of letterpress printing!
Pressing Poetry: From Broadsides to Book Arts explores the intersections of poetry and printmaking in the Turner collection. Featuring letterpress printing, illustrated books, and contemporary broadsides from Black Rock Press, prepare to be delighted by the poetic art of print.
