Announced on: Monday, Feb. 16, 2026
Effective April 1, Human Resources will assume responsibility for all employee workplace accommodations. This function has previously been managed by the Accessibility Resource Center (ARC) in the Division of Student Affairs.
ARC will continue to provide accommodations and support for students, while faculty and staff seeking workplace accommodations will now work directly with Human Resources.
All open employee accommodation cases currently managed by ARC will remain with ARC through resolution, with support from Human Resources. New accommodation requests from faculty and staff should be routed to the Benefits Office in Human Resources beginning April 1.
Chico State remains fully committed to providing an accessible, inclusive workplace for all employees. This transition reflects a natural alignment of services—ensuring employee accommodations are managed in the unit designed to support workplace needs, while ARC continues its important focus on student support.
