A multimedia showcase of art by local artists and projects by students on themes from this year's Book in Common, California Against the Sea, will open in Meriam Library on March 25. Come to the 4th floor of Meriam Library to see artwork that celebrates our California coastline and the flora and fauna that live in the ocean and on land. These works are on loan from local artists. On the 2nd floor of Meriam Library, student projects on California Against the Sea will be displayed on a large screen. These projects were created by students in the Fall 2025 semester of ENGL 130, taught by instructor Allie Matteucci. This showcase will lead into the public lecture by Rosanna Xia, author of the Book in Common, on April 2 at Laxson Auditorium.
