In collaboration with the Indian Student Association (ISA), APIDA will be hosting an event known as "Earthen Impressions with Warli". Warli painting is tribal art mostly created by the Warli people from the North Sahyadri Range in Maharashtra, India. The paintings are usually done on mud walls, using a white pigment made from rice paste and water. They depict daily life, farming activities, animals, and natural elements in simple geometric shapes. Come join us at APIDA (MLIB 171) on April 22nd, 12:00 - 1:00 PM, to create some Warli paintings on a clay pot! APIDA is committed to fostering an inclusive and equitable space where all students, regardless of race, sex, color, ethnicity or national origin, can connect, grow, and thrive.
