Chico State is part of a growing national network of Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs) that play a vital role in higher education. A newly released analysis from Excelencia in Education highlights that HSIs enroll two-thirds of all Latino undergraduates and nearly one-third of all college students in the United States.
The HSI 2026 Factbook provides an updated look at the growth, reach, and impact of HSIs nationwide, along with key trends shaping the higher education landscape.
As our campus continues to serve an increasingly diverse student population, this report offers valuable context for understanding how institutions like Chico State contribute to student access, success, and completion.
