Come Explore the Chico State University Farm

Announced on: Monday, Apr. 13, 2026

Step outside the classroom and into the 880-acre living laboratory at the Chico State University Farm. This unique space brings learning to life through hands-on experiences in sustainable agriculture, land stewardship, and innovation.

Every day, students are out in the fields, barns, orchards, and greenhouses building real-world skills, conducting research, and gaining the experience that prepares them for careers in agriculture and beyond.

Join us for a guided tour led by our Student Ag Ambassadors. They'll take you behind the scenes to see how the farm operates, share what students are learning, and highlight the sustainable practices shaping the future of agriculture.

During your visit, you'll also have the opportunity to stop by the farm store to explore and purchase locally produced items. Guests will also receive a free food basket from the North Valley Food Hub while supplies last.

Whether you're a student, staff member, or faculty member, this is a great chance to connect with the land, learn something new, and see the impact of hands-on education in action.

Come see where learning grows.
