Civic Engagement is excited to offer our annual Service-Learning Workshop! Whether you are seasoned in this pedagogical approach OR need and want inspiration for your first project, this workshop is for you. The workshop is open to all faculty from all disciplinary backgrounds and affiliations including lecturers and tenured/tenure-track faculty. We are particularly interested in Faculty in the STEM fields as we will have faculty from these disciplines sharing examples of their service-learning work. Service learning is an established high-impact practice that enables students to apply their knowledge of a given subject in a community-based project or program so they can learn what it's like to be effective agents of change. The workshop will be hosted in person on campus. Tuesday, May 19, 2026 from 10am - 3.30pm. (lunch provided) Please complete this application by April 25 to ensure your spot.
