We are pleased to announce that Jussi Tinnemeyer will join the Associated Students as our new Executive Director, effective June 30, 2026.
Jussi brings more than 15 years of progressive leadership experience in higher education auxiliary services, with deep expertise in nonprofit auxiliary governance, strategic planning, financial stewardship, and the management of complex, multi-department operations. He has led diverse, student-centered enterprises including dining, retail services, recreation, housing, and parking systems, with a consistent focus on enhancing the student experience while ensuring fiscal sustainability.
In his current role as Director of Auxiliary Enterprises at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, Jussi provides executive oversight for a broad portfolio of services across multiple campuses. He has successfully driven significant organizational growth and innovation, including increasing auxiliary revenue by 147% over four years, expanding retail dining operations across campuses, and implementing advanced technologies to improve service delivery and operational efficiency. His leadership has also encompassed major capital projects, including facility renovations, new construction, and infrastructure modernization, as well as the successful navigation of complex challenges such as pandemic response and major weather-related disruptions.
Jussi is known for his collaborative leadership style and his ability to build strong partnerships with institutional leaders, governing boards, and external partners. He has extensive experience managing large teams, overseeing multimillion-dollar budgets, and aligning operations with long-term strategic goals. He holds a Master of Business Administration and is a Certified Auxiliary Services Professional (CASP).
Throughout the selection process, it was clear that Jussi's experience, vision, and commitment to excellence align strongly with our mission and future direction. We are confident that under his leadership, the organization will continue to grow, innovate, and strengthen its impact.
