GEOG 389: Campus Sustainability Internship - Please Share

The Office of Sustainability is pleased to announce the Fall 2026 offering of the Campus Sustainability Internship (GEOG 389), instructed by Dr. Mark Stemen.

This internship provides students with a structured, credit-bearing opportunity to engage directly with campus sustainability efforts. It is open to students across all majors and requires no prerequisites.

For faculty and staff, we encourage you to share this opportunity with students who could benefit from applied learning and meaningful engagement with campus sustainability efforts.

Students enrolled in this course will:

• Acquire practical knowledge of campus sustainability initiatives and infrastructure
• Assist with active sustainability projects under the guidance of Green Campus Coordinators
• Develop leadership, time management, and professional public speaking abilities
• Participate in Office of Sustainability programming and campus events
• Prepare and deliver a formal semester summary presentation on their experience
