Announced on: Tuesday, Sept. 08, 2026
If you're thinking about dropping a class, reducing your enrollment below full-time, or withdrawing from the fall 2026 term, please check with the Financial Aid & Scholarship Office first. Changing your enrollment could affect your financial aid.
Beginning fall 2026, new federal financial aid requirements under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act may affect the amount of aid you can receive based on your enrollment. Additional information is available on the CSU Federal Student Aid Updates webpage.
Reducing your enrollment below full-time or withdrawing from the fall 2026 term may affect:
• Your federal student loan eligibility or disbursement amount
• Your grant eligibility
• Your overall financial aid package
For financial aid purposes, full-time enrollment is:
• 12 units for undergraduate and credential students
• 8 units for graduate students
Only courses that are eligible for financial aid count toward your financial aid enrollment level.
Please contact the Financial Aid & Scholarship Office before dropping below full-time enrollment or withdrawing from all your classes. Our team can review your individual financial aid package and explain how changing your enrollment may affect your eligibility before you make a change to your schedule.
We're here to help you make an informed decision and avoid unexpected changes to your financial aid.
