There are many pests and diseases that cause oak trees to decline. Invasive beetle species are especially concerning: the Gold-spotted Oak Borer (GSOB), Invasive Shot Hole Borers (ISHB), and the new and potentially devastating Mediterranean Oak Borer (MOB) are killing both native and landscape trees. We will explore common and emerging pests of oaks, including pest biology and common symptoms and signs of infection. 1 CEU credit will be available to arborists affiliated with ISA.
