Deadline to Apply for a bachelor’s degree in May of 2019.

June 4–July 24
Orientation & New Student Programs(opens in new window) and Academic Advising(opens in new window) for new students.

Final Document Deadline for completion of admitted students’ admission files. Transcripts should be postmarked by no later than Monday, July 16.

Registration & Tuition Fee Payment Deadline(opens in new window)
Deadline for students with registration activity (including waitlist only) through this date. Failure to pay fees (or have sufficient accepted financial aid) can be subject to disenrollment, late fees, or have services withheld.

August 1
Registration (Priority) Deadline for fall 2018.

August 5
Last day for master’s degree candidates to take oral or comprehensive examination; submit thesis or terminal project; and submit final progress sheet to the Office of Graduate Studies(opens in new window).

August 6–September 7
Registration Add/Drop Period(opens in new window)
After August 8, students must have paid registration and tuition fees or have sufficient anticipated aid to pay fees to add classes.

August 15
Last day to apply for a bachelor’s degree expected in August 2019.

2nd Registration & Tuition Fee Payment Deadline(opens in new window) 
Deadline for students with registration (including waitlist only) between July 27-August 8. Failure to pay fees (or have sufficient accepted financial aid) can be subject to disenrollment, late fees, or have services withheld.

Academic year begins; all faculty on duty.

August 23

Welcome activities for new students begin. Period varies.

Financial Aid Disbursement(opens in new window) 
First financial aid refunded by Direct Deposit or mail to students who have met all processing requirements and who have a credit balance after total charges are paid.

August 26
Last day to drop all classes to receive a full refund (less administrative fee).

August 27
Fall classes begin.

August 27
Term withdrawals on or after this date (but by October 29) will be eligible for a prorated refund of registration fees and non-resident tuition.

Labor Day. Campus closed.

September 7
Last day to add or drop classes without special permission of instructor. You are financially responsible for any fees associated with classes in which you are enrolled on this date plusany classes in which you subsequently enroll.

Deadline for Graduate Program application for Spring 2018 semester.

September 21
Census Date
No adding, dropping of classes, or changing of grade option beyond this date without a serious and compelling reason approved by the instructor, department chair, and college dean. Financial aid may be adjusted based on less than full time enrollment at census date.

September 21
Deadline for master’s students who are not regularly enrolled to register for adjunct enrollment.

September 21
Last day for Open University students to pay fees without late charge.

September 21
Last day to apply for a master’s degree expected in December 2018.
