Escort is the resident Service Provider for Holly Hunt in the Accessibility Resource Center (ARC) at Chico State. A graduate of the National Institute of Canine Service and Training/Dogs4Diabetics, Escort has been dedicated to his work since 2017. His primary role is to detect and alert individuals when blood sugar levels drop. Off duty, he offers comfort and moral support to students and staff and is cherished by everyone on campus.
Born at Guide Dogs for the Blind in San Rafael, CA, Escort is a golden retriever-Labrador cross who was raised in Austin, TX, before making his way to Chico. When he's not working, Escort enjoys a good nap and a refreshing bite of watermelon!
