Mary Cox is the Accessible Support Services Coordinator and Assistant to the Director for Accessibility Resource Center (ARC) at Chico State. She plays a vital role in ensuring the office operates efficiently, supervising student office assistants and overseeing key accessibility services. Her responsibilities include managing on-campus accessible transportation, coordinating campus-core accessible parking, and facilitating temporary accommodations for students with short-term medical needs or injuries.
Beyond her role at ARC, Mary is actively involved in campus initiatives. She serves as a member of the Campus Assessment Response and Evaluation (CARE) Team, the Student Academic Senate, and the Campus Health & Safety Committee.
Mary began her Chico State career in 2006 with the Associated Students Administration office before transitioning to University Housing in 2016. She joined the ARC team in January 2018, bringing extensive experience in campus operations and student support.
Mary and her husband have four adult children, four grandchildren (with more on the way), and share their home with two spoiled feline princesses. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, reading, watching reality TV, traveling, and attending professional baseball games. A lifelong baseball fan, one of her personal goals is to visit every baseball park in the U.S.
