Celeste Torres-Luis (She/Her)

Hello! My name is Celeste Torres-Luis. I am currently in my last year of graduate school at Chico State in the Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) program. I also attended Chico State as an undergraduate and received a bachelor's degree in psychology in 2017. I believe that academic coaching support and accommodating students play an enormous role in a college student's success. This is what drew me to the academic coaching program: being extra support for students in their academic endeavors and connecting them to resources specific to that individual student. What I love about the coaching program is being able to connect with students in a way that allows them to flourish in their academic and personal development. The best part about academic coaching is seeing these students overcome so many barriers and obstacles while still managing to achieve their aspirations and dreams. In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, yoga, practicing mindfulness, reading, marathon watching my favorite shows/movies on Netflix, going to the Sunday farmers market, and giving as much attention and love as I can to my roommate's dog, Luna. I am also from Monterey California, so I naturally love to get to the beach when I can.
