Elijah Palomino (He/Him)

My name is Elijah Palomino and I am originally from Paso Robles, CA. Growing up in the central coast was a big positive in my life as I got a lot of opportunities to play high school sports like football and track and field! I went to community college at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo where I obtained my AA for transfer in psychology before coming to Chico State as a junior in 2019! Covid hit two months into me being on campus for the first time and the subsequent semesters online were some of the toughest challenges I had to face academically. Being involved in a program like this comes from a genuine place of wanting to give back to my peers and fellow students. I know how tough life can be, both inside and outside of school, and have a natural tendency to help others! I look forward to spreading positivity with every person I meet because I truly believe every student can shape a definition of success and achieve that, whatever that may be. My role as an academic coach is to facilitate that with love, care, and compassion! Some of my hobbies include biking, hiking, weight lifting, and gaming on my PC that I built when I was 18! I am also a huge New York fan (Go Yankees).
