Effective Monday, August 16, 2021, Accessibility Resource Center (ARC) will resume in-person office hours from 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday. Most appointments will be held via Zoom or phone; however, some in-person appointments may be available.
Yes, in-person exam and proctoring services will resume August 23, 2021. Exam requests must be submitted through ARC Go!
Proctoring Services:
Proctoring via Zoom is available for students taking online courses. Please continue to make your exam requests through ARC Go! Please note that instructors are doing their best and if your accommodation time has not been extended on Blackboard (or another format), please email your instructor as soon as possible and cc arcdept@csuchico.edu so that we are aware of the issue.
When taking an exam at home, if you have distraction reduced environment as an accommodation appointed by your advisor, we highly recommend you establish a distraction reduced environment prior to beginning your online exam.
Kurzweil Exams:
Kurzweil exams may be administered via Zoom proctoring and use of your personal computer as long as you have Chrome as your browser. However, if you would like to use this, please see the information below to make a request.
Zoom Proctoring & Reader Services:
If you have Reader Services or would like ARC staff to remote proctor your exam via Zoom, please make your exam request through ARC Go! AND send an email to arcdept@csuchico.edu with the following details:

You will be contacted with a Zoom appointment link and ARC staff will retrieve testing details from your instructor. Please send this request with at least three days’ notice so that we have time to gain the information needed.
If you utilize note taker services for in-person instruction, you may do so for online instruction. Please refer to the ARC Go! tutorials, “How to Request Accommodations” and “How to Request Peer Note Taking” on the ARC Go! website(opens in new window). If you have questions or need additional assistance, feel free to email your Accessibility Advisor directly or email ARC at arcdept@csuchico.edu.

Yes, we have staff available for Zoom proctoring sessions. Please have the student email ARC with the date and time of the exam. We will review the ARC Go! portal to verify your specified testing details to correctly administer the exam.
Unfortunately, we are only able to accommodate students who are fully registered with ARC for accommodations. If a student is interested in applying, please have them visit the ARC website and click “Apply Here.”
Yes. Please continue to request quizzes and exams through the ARC Go! portal so that instructors are notified about your accommodations.
