Welcome to Art & Art History

Taking Precautions Due To COVID-19
In accordance with State and School mandates, the Art Office (Ayres 107) is closed until further notice.
Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, all in-person activities at Chico State’s campus have been suspended. We are doing all we can to provide continuity and consistency for our students in these challenging times.
If you have any questions, please email Summer Armstrong at or Asa Mittman at
For emergencies please contact Campus PD using a Red Phone or by calling 898-5555

Chico State supports our students, regardless of their immigration status, and welcomes Muslim students, Jewish students, students of color, DREAMers, DACA students, and refugees; the Art & Art History Department supports all these students; and I support all these students. I believe executive orders and other anti-immigrant policies and statements by the president are violations of justice, freedom, and our values, and that those who march against or otherwise oppose ethnic, racial, and religious groups, or individuals based on their gender or sexuality, fail to understand the American project and the fundamental value that diversity brings to our community. I am here for each of you, regardless of your beliefs on this issue.
