Nick Steele

Nick Steele is an NCIDQ certified Commercial Interior Designer. Nick is a former Design Director at Anderson Brule Architects. Currently, Nick is a Project Manager at HGA Architects and Engineers, based out of the firms’ San Jose office. Nick is an active advocate for Commercial Interior Designers. As a former IIDA Northern California VP of Advocacy, Nick continues to work with a state-wide committee of passionate advocates with IIDA’s support and Lobbyist to elevate the profession of Commercial Interior Design.

Nick earned his BFA of Interior Design from San Jose State University and an MA of Industrial Arts from San Francisco State University with eighteen years of professional expertise. Nick has sixteen years of teaching experience across a range of Interior Design curriculum at multiple institutions. Nick has a thorough knowledge of Revit, Design Strategy, Presentation Techniques, Detailing, Building Systems, Design Portfolio assembly, Proposals, Budgeting, mentorship, and management of both projects and business. Nick’s career has focused on Corporate Interiors, Healthcare Design, Higher Education Design, Public Libraries, and Design Strategy.
