The University Art Gallery is a student-centered exhibition space that focuses on original works by regional, national, and international artists. Through innovative exhibitions and programs, the gallery engages and inspires the intellectual and creative life of the University community, as well as the diverse audiences of Chico and the North State. The University Art Gallery is housed in a purpose-built space in the new Arts & Humanities Building.
The Third Floor Gallery is the only Chico State art gallery to exclusively show student work. All types of art are welcome. You don’t have to be an art major to apply. The gallery features four shows each semester. Gallery shows are chosen the previous semester by a committee of students, staff, and faculty.
