WISE Wildcats Program Agreement

All participants will co-create and sign an individualized Participant Program Plan at the beginning of their semester-long program. Please read these program requirements carefully before signing up for this program – your housing stipend will depend upon completion of these activities!

Community Agreements

As a community, Wildcats are committed to engaging in actions that promote kindness and consideration while striving to avoid behaviors that intentionally cause harm or distress to those around usTo this end, WISE Wildcats program participants and staff are expected to adhere to Chico State's Community Agreements throughout all program activities: respect, empathy, and integrity. Students who consistently break these agreements will be asked (at the discretion of Basic Needs professional staff) to exit the program. 

Goal Setting Sessions (2)

You will are required to schedule and attend two one-on-one intake meetings with program staff prior to the beginning of the semester (via Zoom or in-person):

  1. One housing resource session with a peer housing navigator
  2. One budgeting session with a Financial Wellness Program paraplanner 

The WISE Start Summit 

You will be required to attend the entire series of workshops offered during the program’s kick-off on the Thursday and Friday of the week before the semester begins.

Semester Coaching Sessions (10)

You will be required to schedule and attend 10 total one-on-one coaching sessions before the end of your first semester in the program: 

  1. Seven (7) sessions with your WISE Wildcat peer coach
  2. Three (3) sessions with a Financial Wellness paraplanner  

Utilization of Campus Resources (4)

You will choose four activities that will set you up for success (one from each of the following categories): 

  1. career development
  2. community connection
  3. wellness
  4. academic success

Whole Student Development Model

This program follows a whole student development model.  The individual components of this program work together in concert to provide participants with ample opportunities to develop skills, build community, and create connections with campus support systems. Your growth in this program will be directly linked to your mindset, your level of commitment, and your willingness to fully engage with each opportunity offered to you.
