Spring 2026 Applications Now Open!
Congratulations graduate – you’ve almost made it to the finish line! At Chico State Basic Needs we believe that cost should not be a barrier to prevent students from participating in commencement celebrations. This is your moment to shine and you've earned it!
Program Details
- Receive a cap, gown, and tassel at no cost
- You may decorate and keep your cap and tassel as a celebration of your achievement
- Gowns must be returned after the ceremony
Eligibility Criteria
Must be an undergraduate or graduate student who will participate in Chico State’s commencement celebrations this coming May. Must also be able to demonstrate financial need.
Application Deadline
Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at 11:45 PM
Notification of Awards
Applications will be reviewed after the deadline. Students selected for the program will be notified on or before March 31 with next steps and instructions.
