Chico State Basic Needs Project

Get Involved

The Basic Needs Project is powered by you!

Since the opening of the Hungry Wildcat Food Pantry in 2013, thousands have stepped up and taken action to support Chico State students’ basic needs and their future success.

Together in the last year, through the generous support of our business partners, farmers, food banks, community agencies, faculty, staff, students, parents, alumni, and generous individual donors we have distributed more than 50 tons of food and supported the basic needs of more than 4,000 students. This year we will house 50 students struggling with homelessness and will continue to assist those escaping climate fires and disasters.

You can help!

Chico Cares is an annual fundraising campaign for the Chico State Basic Needs Project. Your contribution will help us continue to expand our provision of nutritious food, short-term emergency housing, and emergency grants for students in need.

THANK YOU for your ongoing support!
