Meanings of Home Art Exhibition
April 4-14, A Gallery in the Arts and Humanities Building
Through words and images, Thi Bui’s The Best We Could Do (the 2022-2023 Book in Common) offers a beautiful and powerful exploration of the meanings of “home” for different generations of her family. In preparation for the author’s visit to campus on April 5, this exhibition calls upon members of the Chico State community – especially students – to express through art (either visually or using words) reflections and articulations of and experience with the meanings of home, community, and identity. Completed templates, folded into the shape of houses, will be exhibited in the A Gallery in the Arts and Humanities Building from April 4-14, with special events to coincide with Thi Bui’s visit to campus on April 5.
