Reopening with Health & Safety in Mind

COVID-19 Event Guidelines 

Updated 1/5/22 

All guests 2 and older are required to show proof of full vaccination (at least two weeks after last dose) or a negative COVID-19 test PCR 48 hours prior to event or antigen test 24 hours prior to event.

Antigen tests must be administered through a medical provider. At-Home tests or self-attestation will not be accepted. 

By purchasing your ticket, you attest to your vaccination status or agree to test requirements.

Please be prepared to present a vaccination card, a myvaccinerecord.cdph.ca.gov(opens in new window) QR square, or proof of a negative test prior to entering the venue. Regardless of vaccination status, everyone is required to wear masks on the Chico State campus. We ask for continued flexibility as requirements are subject to change.

  • Purchasing Tickets

    Online

    Tickets may be purchased online tickets. Tickets are available online until sold out or three hours before the start of a performance.

    In-person

    Tickets may be purchased in person at the University Box Office on the corner of Third and Chestnut Streets, Chico CA. inside Sierra Hall (Map).

  • Will Call Tickets

    You may pick up your will-call tickets in advance at the University Box Office during business hours. Will-call tickets will be taken to the venue and become available one hour before the event. For North State Symphony concerts that have pre talks, will-call tickets become available two hours before the event. Please have your confirmation number or photo identification when picking up your tickets.

    Patrons must present a valid photo ID and a purchase confirmation number.

  • Refunds or Exchanges

    Refunds

    During a normal season, refunds are only issued in the case of a canceled show. For the 2021-2022 season, refunds will be based on the artist contract.

    Refund requests must be made 24 hours or more before the event. To request a refund please email ubocustomersupport@csuchico.edu with your first and last name, name of the event, and seats you would like to return and we will get back to you during business hours Monday through Friday 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.

    Refunds will not be done at the show.

    Ticket exchanges

    Ticket exchanges for another event or different seats can be done at the University Box Office or by calling (530)898-6333, Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Exchanges are $3 per ticket and must be done 24 hours or more before the event. Tickets must be turned in at the time of exchange or no exchange will be made.

    Exchanges will not be done on Saturday or Sunday.

  • Online and Phone Service Charge

    A $4 per order fee applies to all phone and online orders. Online orders have an additional per ticket convenience charge.

    All fees are non-refundable.

  • Ticket Information

    Tier A: The best seats you can purchase. One price for all guests.

    Tier B: Standard Seating 

    Tier C: Economy Seating. Chico State Students may purchase one student ticket per event from Tier C. A Valid Chico State ID must be present at the event or you will be charged the full price of the ticket.

  • Discounts (Group Rates & Chico State Student Discount)

    Group Rate

    University Box Office offers group rate discounts to selected events. Group rates are not available with any other ticket discount. For more information about group ticket purchases, please call the University Box Office.

    Chico State Student Discount

    Student Discounts are available for currently enrolled students to many events. To receive a student discount, please bring your Chico State Student ID to the University Box Office to purchase your discounted ticket. One Chico State Student Ticket per ID. Please contact the box office if you have any questions.

  • Accommodations

    CSU, Chico venues offer a wide selection of services, including special needs seating and assisted listening devices. For information regarding accessible seating or to purchase accessible seats, please call 530-898-6856. 

  • Parking

    For campus parking locations please refer to the University Campus Map-Parking.

    Parking permits are required Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Guests can pay for parking by downloading Passport Parking App for free from the iPhone App Store and Android Google Play. Mobile web services are also available by visiting Passport Parking(opens in new window). Please direct any questions to the University Police Department at 530-898-5555.

  • Late Seating

    For the safety of everyone, latecomers will be seated at the discretion of the House Manager & performers. Late guests may be accommodated in seats other than originally reserved. When it is safe, you may ask an usher for assistance in finding your purchased seat. 

  • Venue Information

    Laxson Auditorium: Box Office and Will-Call opens 60 minutes before the performance start time. Laxson Lobby and Concessions open 45 minutes before performances and serves beer, wine, soda, water, and cookies. Laxson seating will begins 30 minutes before performance start time.

    Arts Recital Hall: Box Office and Will-Call opens 60 minutes before the performance start time. Seating begins 30 minutes before performance start time.

    Harlen Adams Theatre: Box Office and Will-Call opens 60 minutes before the performance start time. Seating begins 30 minutes before performance start time.

    Wismer Theatre: Box Office and Will-Call opens 60 minutes before the performance start time. Seating begins 30 minutes before performance start time.

    Rowland Taylor Recital Hall: Box Office and Will-Call opens 60 minutes before the performance start time. Seating begins 30 minutes before performance start time.

    Acker Gymnasium, Nettleton Stadium, and Soccer Stadium: Box Office, Will-Call, and gates open 60 minutes before the start time.  

  • Chico State Student Discount

    Chico State Student Discounts are given for most events tickets that are sold by the University Box Office.

    To receive a Chico State Student Discount please bring your Chico State Student ID to the University Box Office to purchase your ticket. Student tickets can only be used by enrolled Chico State Students. A Chico State ID must be presented with the ticket at the event. If a Chico State Student ID is not presented at the event, the student will be up-charged an adult ticket.

  • Lost My Tickets, What Are My Options?

    The University Box Office will reissue physical tickets to the purchaser only, ID required. For online orders, we will only resend e-tickets to the email on file. Contact the Ticket Office by phone at 530-898-6333 or email us at ubocustomersupport@csuchico.edu for assistance.

  • What Happens If An Event Is Canceled?

    If a performance is canceled, you will receive a refund from the University Box Office. Handling and convenience charges are non-refundable. Tickets purchased using a credit card or debit card will be refunded automatically back to the card used to purchase the tickets. checks, cash, account credit, or any form of the split tender will be refunded by check from the University.   • Does My Child Need A Ticket?

    Children 2 and under do not need a ticket if they will be sitting on the lap of an adult at a performance. If the child requires their own seat, they will need a ticket. We do not offer discounted tickets for children.

  • Facility Rentals

  • Lost & Found

    If you are seeking lost items, please call the University Box Office at 530-898-6333 for assistance. All high-profile items (wallet, purse, cell phone, keys, credit cards/debit cards, Jewelry, or Chico State ID’s) found at a performance, will be taken to the University Police Department after the event. The University Police Department is located on the corner of West 2nd and Chestnut Streets (Campus Map). All other items will be stored at the University Box Office and logged. Non Profile items not claimed after one month will be disposed of.

  • Are my seats next to each other in Laxson Auditorium?
