Do you have questions about viewing an upcoming livestream or on-demand video?

  • Do I need to buy a ticket to a livestream or on-demand video?

    Yes, all livestream and on-demand videos are ticketed.

    Purchasing a ticket to a livestream event DOES NOT give you access to stream the on-demand video.

  • Internet Access

    Troubleshooting Internet issues can take some time. Access to the Internet is required for viewing livestream and on-demand videos. We recommend that you test your internet before an event begins. You may check your Internet speed by using Google’s Speedtest(opens in new window), Xfinity xFi Speed Test(opens in new window), or any other Internet speed test you are familiar with.

  • How do I view the virtual event? (livestream or on-demand video)

    After an order is placed, an email confirmation is sent from ubocustomersupport@csuchico.edu.

    At the bottom of the email, you will see a section called “Order Detail”. In the “Order Detail” section, you will see a blue button, which contains the link to view the event.

         2 - Validate the access code (the access code will auto-fill in the box)

         3 - Agree to the Terms & Conditions

         4 - Click Start Watching

    You can view the livestream or on-demand video on any device that can connect to the Internet. A computer, Tablet, Cell phone, or a TV.

  • What if I didn't receive the email confirmation?

    An email confirmation is sent within 15 minutes of placing your order. If you don't see it in your Inbox, please check your junk and spam folder.

    If you still cannot find your email confirmation, please email us at ubocustomersupport@csuchico.edu. In the subject line type “Please Resend Email Confirmation”. In the body of the email please list your first and last name, phone number, and the email address that was used to purchase the ticket.

  • Can I stream the event on multiple devices?

    Ticket links are valid for one device. If you switch devices, the device that last clicked the link will remain active. If you’d like to watch on multiple devices, you’ll need to purchase additional tickets.

  • How to view the livestream or on-demand video on your TV?

    Preparing to watch the event:

    There are many ways to view the performance on your TV. Please make sure to give yourself time to troubleshoot before the event.

    If you are setting up to watch a livestream event, you may access your link in the email confirmation at any time. You will see a countdown timer in the video player until the event begins.

    If you are setting up to watch an on-demand video, you have 48 hours from the time your access code is accepted to watch the video.

    Laptop with an HDMI cable:

    Many TV’s and laptops have HDMI Ports. You can connect a laptop to a TV by plugging an HDMI cable into the HDMI port on each of the devices. If you have switched the TV source to HDMI and the screen does not pop up, you may need to go into your monitor settings and make adjustments. Computer, Smart TV, phone, or Streaming Device with Web Browser This process will work with any device that has a web browser and plays videos online. The first thing you’ll want to do is log into your email account on your device. Open your confirmation email (sent from ubocustomersupport@csuchico.edu). Scroll down to the “Order Detail” section and click the blue button that contains the title, date, and time of the performance. This will open a new window, pulling in your access code. Confirm the terms and agreements and click “Start Watching”. A countdown until the performance will appear. Once the performance begins, a link or video box will appear to enjoy the show.

    Apple TV/Airplay:

    You must use an Apple device (iPhone, iPad, Mac computer) to connect to your Apple TV. First, it is recommended that you open and begin watching the video on your selected Apple device. Then, log into Apple TV. Make sure both your Apple devices are on the same WiFi network, and then click the airplay icon.

    Amazon Fire Stick:

    To watch on with your Amazon Fire Stick, you must first download the free browser, Amazon Silk. Using Amazon Silk, log into your email, open the email confirmation (sent by ubocustomersupport@csuchico.edu), and click the blue button in the order notes section. (You may need to click the request desktop site in the top menu to read the whole email.) Allow the browser to leave the page. This should open a new window, pulling in your unique access code and the video player. The video should start automatically, if not, click play.

    Chromecast:

    You will need a Chromecast, Chromecast Ultra, or TV with Chromecast built-in. Make sure your device is on the same Wi-Fi network as your Chromecast device. Open the video on your device and tap the casting image on your device.
