Cheryl Lugo
Cheryl Lugo is a dedicated student advocate that is passionate about helping students thrive. With a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from University of Puerto Rico – Mayagüez and a master’s degree in Family Studies & Human Services from Kansas State University, Cheryl has had the opportunity of working with diverse populations in an academic setting. She has over 8 years of experience working in the student services field, spending the last 6 at Sacramento State.
Cheryl enjoys working with underrepresented minorities being a Hispanic Latina herself. She likes visiting her family back home in Puerto Rico and spending time with her husband and dogs. Cheryl assists Ashley Person with the implementation of student success efforts in the college and, more specifically, the Child Development and Psychology departments.
