About Frank

Frank has an Interdisciplinary Master's Degree and has been a faculty member in CAGD since 2006. He served as the Director of Animation for Interstellar Studios in Chico, CA, from 2008 to 2009, where they led the development of high-quality animations for the PBS documentary Four Hundred Years of the Telescope, funded by the National Science Foundation.
He served as a Course Coordinator for California State University's Summer Arts Program, Pre-Visualization for Film and Game courses at Monterey Bay (2014) and Creature Workshop for Animation in Fresno (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2022).
Frank has worked on multiple projects that have involved a collaboration of departments at CSU Chico (Computer Animation & Game Development, Media Arts Design and Technology, and Journalism & PR). These include the 3D Lidar scanning of Bidwell Mansion, where students were trained in lidar techniques and created a virtual platform for public access to the data, the Sierra Nevada Brewing Company virtual reality project, and collaborated with Dan Cahill and undergraduate students on the 3D Lidar Scanning of Honey Run Covered Bridge in Chico, CA.
