About Tina

Tina Backlund is a Lecturer in the Computer Animation and Game Development Program since 2015. She specializes as a 2D digital artist and 3D generalist. Tina has taught a variety of classes, but often she teaches two of the introductory courses in the CAGD program: Computer Assisted Art I and Storyboarding and Concept Design. She was a visual asset artist for the award-winning indie video game Whispering Willows; released in 2014 on multiple platforms. She mainly does freelance asset work for the video game industry. Her research includes topics such as art, virtual reality, computer programming, and advanced 3D graphics technology. Tina is an alumnus of the CAGD program.
