Conversations on Diversity and Inclusion (CODI): Muerte Silenciosa: Toxic Water in the Valley - A film Screening & Discussion

Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2021, 12–1 p.m.
Zoom Mtg.
No Cost

A Film Screening and Discussion with Jesse Dizard, Professor of Anthropology

Muerte Silenciosa tells the story of families faced with the impossible decision to either bathe and drink contaminated water for which they must pay, or pay twice for bottled water, the purity of which is not necessarily guaranteed.

The situation for such families and their communities is becoming ever more sever the longer this problem remains unsolved. It is crucial that the wealthiest state in the richest country take seriously the human right to safe, clean, affordable drinking water. Until then, unsafe drinking water will remain a silent killer.
