Associated Students Government Affairs applications for the position of Commissioner of Student Engagement and Advocacy are now open. The Commissioner for Student Engagement and Advocacy is the chair of the Campus Engagement Council and a voting member of the Government Affairs Committee. This role coordinates AS Government Affairs representation at campus-wide involvement opportunities including, but not limited to, Wildcat Welcome Week, Chico Preview, and Choose Chico. The position also participates in AS Government Affairs Town Halls and coordinates the annual Time Capsule event. This is a scholarship position and, as such, has minimum requirements, including mandatory office hours in addition to scheduled committee and council meetings. While in office, all elected representatives are eligible to receive a scholarship based on a percentage of the cost of attendance (COA) at CSU, Chico, which are disbursed each semester to those in office: 1/2 in the fall and 1/2 in the spring.
