Avoiding Bias in Hiring training-Jan. 12

During this overview of unconscious bias and its impact on the hiring process, you will be provided tools and strategies for ensuring that the best candidates apply - and are selected - for open positions. To the extent possible, time is included for discussion and opportunities to practice implementing the strategies in this interactive online workshop.

Enrollees are encouraged to complete the following optional exercise in preparation for the workshop: Implicit Association Test (IAT) at Take A Test.

Frequency: This training is required every four years to maintain certification.

Audience: All campus employees serving on, or responsible for, personnel selection committees. See your HR's search committee procedures for details.
