Celebrate International Women's Day and Girl Scout Week

March 8 is International Women's Day and March 12-18 is Girl Scout Week. You can recognize both by checking out this community collaboration between Chico State's Women in Construction (CSWIC) club and the Girl Scouts of Northern California. Dr. Marie Patterson led the members of the CSWIC to assist in building a patio structure for the Girl Scouts. The planning, design, and construction allowed professional experiences for the CSWIC members, working alongside local contractors on a community project. They were also able to share with local Girl Scouts the career opportunities for women in engineering and construction.
