Latinx Graduation Celebration 2023

The 46th Annual Latinx Graduation Celebration is scheduled for Saturday, May 20, 2023, in Laxson Auditorium. Two ceremonies are currently planned for 12:30 pm and 3:00 pm to accommodate more graduates and guests. Latinx Grad does not conflict with University Commencement exercises.

Interested in participating? Please visit the Latinx Grad website for complete details. Step 1 is payment of a $45 participation fee, and Step 2 is an online application form. Eligibility criteria apply.

The priority deadline is April 19, yet registration processes may close earlier if space capacity is reached sooner. Interested students are encouraged to act early as previous events have filled quickly.

About the Latinx Graduation Celebration
The Latinx Graduation Celebration was created to honor the achievement of Latinx graduates, and the contributions their families and friends have made during their education. Movimiento Estudiantil Chicanx de Aztlán (MEChA) created this event in 1978 to encourage Latinos to pursue higher education. This diverse and intimate English/Spanish-bilingual ceremony has flourished, and now includes Latinx and non-Latinx students.
