Train the Trainer is intended for subject matter experts or employees who find themselves in a position of creating or delivery training. In session one, participants are introduced to the basics of adult learning theory and standard format of a training session. Session two is all about creating learning objectives and content. Session three is dedicated to incorporating engagement and activities focused on knowledge retention and application. Session four provides a forum for participants to practice what they've learned. This program is intended for beginning level trainers and presenters, but intermediate level trainers and presenters are also welcome! No pre-activities required. Participants must attend all four sessions: 4/4; 4/11; 4/18; 4/25 Please register by March 27, 2023 via the CSU's Cross-Campus Collaboration schedule. The Train the Trainer workbook will be emailed to participants in advance.
This training is interactive, so attendance is limited CSU-wide. Registration is on a first come, first-served basis, so don't delay! If you register then can't attend, please cancel your registration so another may have your virtual seat - thank you. Audience: All campus staff, faculty, and managers. This is a CSU-wide training. Sponsors: CSU CO Learning & Development and Chico State's Staff Professional Development. If a reasonable accommodation is needed, please contact L&D@calstate.edu in advance (minimum of 72 hours is requested) and we will connect you with the workshop facilitator. Contact Jessica Plascencia via Teams with questions or email pdev@csuchico.edu. View additional upcoming trainings on the Staff Development calendar.
