WellCat Counseling offers 'Open Hours' this week in wake of shootings

In recognition of the emotional distress many students are experiencing due to this weekend's shootings in the neighborhoods on the north and south sides of campus, WellCat Counseling Center will have open hours available to students Monday and Friday all day, and Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8 a.m.–10 a.m. and 1–4 p.m. in Student Services Center, Room 430.

 

Students can also contact the WellCat Counseling Center by calling 530-898-6345 or emailing counselingcenter@csuchico.edu. If you are in crisis and need to speak to a counselor immediately, please call 530-898-6345 and follow the phone prompts (press 2), and you will be connected to a crisis counselor.

 

Please continue to look out for your friends and classmates. If you are in a dangerous or unsettling situation off campus, please remember University Police is the fastest way to get assistance. So, I'm asking all students to program 530-898-5555 into their phones today.
