New Interim Director of Alumni Engagemenet

Shari Anderson has accepted an opportunity to serve as interim director of Alumni Engagement, effective October 1. Shari has served as the senior director of the department since 2022 and held myriad roles within the alumni department during her 16 years on campus. She began her career at Chico State as membership coordinator and moved on to serve as alumni engagement coordinator, scholarship coordinator, and director of the parent engagement program. Throughout her tenure, she has continued to push the department to embrace trends to better connect with and engage alumni in physical and digital opportunities. Shari has also played a pivotal role in events like Wildcat Weekend, the Distinguished Alumni Dinner, Commencement, Senior Send-off, Wildcat Spirit Week, and many more. Her collaborations with units across campus, from the Career Center to Admissions, have helped integrate our work into the greater ethos of the University while supporting Chico State's biggest demographic—our alumni network, at 183,000 and counting.
