2024-25 FAFSA and CADAA changes are coming!

To simplify the financial aid application process, the Department of Education and the California Student Aid Commission are rolling out some big changes to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and California Dream Act Application (CADAA).

How does this change affect students?

The 2024-25 FAFSA and CADAA opening date will be delayed until December 2023. The exact date is still to be determined.

What is the Priority Deadline?

Due to the new release date of the FAFSA and CADAA, California has extended the priority deadline to April 2, 2024. Students need to apply by the priority deadline to be eligible for state grants including Cal Grant, Middle Class Scholarship and State University Grant.
