Are you a native or heritage speaker of Spanish with conversational skills but little to no formal training in the language? SPAN 202N Intermediate Spanish for Heritage Speakers is designed to build on the conversational language skills that students already possess. In this course, students further hone, develop, and expand their abilities in Spanish in different contexts while learning about the value of the Spanish language in the US today. Students also gain a heightened awareness of Hispanic heritage and culture in the US and reflect on their own personal experiences as part of that heritage. This is an approved General Education (Area C2) course and fulfills the Global Cultures (GC) graduation requirement. SPAN 202N also counts toward the minor and major in Spanish and Latin American Studies. This course is offered every semester. In Spring 2024, this class meets Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:00 - 6:15 PM. For more info, contact the instructor, Dr. Antonio Arreguín Bermúdez, aarreguin-bermudez@csuchico.edu.
